Senior Compliance Officer - Global Sanctions - Trade and Treasury Services, Investor and Issuer Services, Custody and Clearing and Related Businesses
The candidate will partner with GSC, Regional Sanctions Officers, businesses, AML Advisory and Compliance to provide consistent sanctions advice for sanctions initiatives and projects, in addition to sanctions support for global and regional products and product risk assessments. Will also assist SEC/TRA Officers for TTS and all related businesses in identifying potential disclosable activity, provide ongoing support relative to Depository Trust Company and other inter-industry groups such as Company s participation in The Wolfsberg Group and support the GSC team in all related responsibilities. Will also establish a globally consistent process for sanctions engagement and review of TTS transactional activity to include metrics that identify and track volumes and trends, ensure consistent application of sanctions requirements and advice across this portfolio, and regularly engage with TTS AML Advisory, business deal teams and Sanctions Legal in the review of transactional activity. Work collaboratively with Global AML Advisory, the Business and Sanctions Legal to identify sanctions risks during the business transaction approval process. Provide resolution to sanction specific risks identified during due diligence processes. Coordinate with Sanctions Legal to identify applicable sanctions requirements and ensure consistent application of those requirements to the transactional activity. Develop and implement consistent use of sanctions risk thresholds and use of sanctions due diligence checklist for transactional activity. Lead regular meetings with Regional Sanctions, ICG AML Advisory and deal teams to discuss pending transactions and potential sanctions risks. Identify and track transaction volumes and trends and produce relevant reports. Support the execution and implementation of GSC s annual Compliance Plan and Path to Strong initiatives. Provide consistent sanctions SME guidance and analysis and recommend viable solutions that support business transactional efforts while ensuring compliance with sanctions requirements. Support the sanctions review and approval of new products and services. Manage corrective actions, projects and initiatives related to the Sanctions Compliance Program. Engage with GSC Program and Strategy on sanctions matters related to policy enhancements, gaps, new product approvals and corrective plans. In coordination with Company Corporate Reporting Legal and Sanctions Legal, draft and issue quarterly SEC-TRA guidance. Conduct annual SEC-TRA training. Work closely with Regional AML Officers, Operations, and the Business to ensure Sanctions Risks are adequately monitored. Assist SEC/TRA Officers in identifying and resolving escalations of identified potentially disclosable items. Coordinate and obtain biennial Depository Trust Company OFAC certifications and support in the transactional certifications from participating businesses, confirming that all transactions and business activities conducted by Company through the Clearing Agency are in compliance with applicable OFAC sanctions regulations. Represent Company and GSC by actively participating in discussions and reviewing publications issued by The Wolfsberg Group and other inter-industry groups. Other Sanctions Advisory duties as assigned.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
